I had a brief stay at Lapalos lodge while I traveled from the U.S. to be with my daughter during her surgery. Upon arriving, my flight landed after the lodge had closed. The front desk attendant Santie met me after hours to give me my key. I really appreciated her going out her way to make sure I was able to check in despite arriving after the office was closed! She showed me to my room- the room was spacious, clean and VERY comfortable!! The next morning I went i to the office to officially check-in. Here i met the owner Rona...both Rona and Santie were the most hospitable, pleasant, and kind people! Rona offered to drop me off at the hospital where I was to see my daughter- this kind of service has NEVER been offered in the states! I stayed for a few days before falling I'll. The morning I felt the sickest (and scared in a foreign country) Santie drove me to the hospital where I was admitted for 7 days! During this time my family reached out to Lapalosa and they kindly packed my belongings and held them in their office until my daughter was able to pick them up. I am FOREVER grateful to both Santie and Rona!! There property was cozy, affordable, and above all BEAUTIFUL! I'd stay there a million times- please dont pass up this hidden gem of a lodge! The quality of the staff was top notc, and I will forever be grateful that I met two of the most wonderful people in my life...I wish there was 1000 stars to give!

Great location, safe and relaxed environment, incredibly kind and caring owners that are very involved in the business. Some of the best coffee I have had and there is a beautiful small garden that is full of plants, trees and birds.
