Fantastic place if you like wildlife. Right in the heart of the rainforest we watched birds on the balcony eating chopped fruit, sugar gliders eating tree sap in the night viewing area and saw and heard various animals. Very comfortable and tranquil place.

Sharlynn by the River is in a beautiful and peaceful setting and sitting outside on the private verandah was an absolute treat. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. The provided breakfast food was excellent and plentiful - we had more than enough for our two breakfasts. Pam and John were very welcoming hosts as was Charlie.

Great place to stay! We were with kids and it was wonderfull. The staff are nice and helpful, the place is absolutely beautiful, very well maintained and feels like home. All is clean and tidy. The rooms are very good as well.

The wood fireplace was a highlight along with bathtub with an outside view. Great views from the balcony and the surrounding areas. Walking track to the waterfall was a great adventure. Well equipped kitchen had everything we needed for cooking hot meals and drinks. First day breakfast cereals and bread was provided.

Easy drives to Lake Eacham and Barrine in Crater Lakes National Park, Barron Falls, Yungaburra, Curtain Fig Tree National Park and much more.
