The staff was very helpful upon check-in and even allowed me to check in a little earlier which was great because I could drop my luggage in the room and get out to experience the Gruyere Castle earlier than I thought. The view was incredible, it faced the mountains and Gruyere Castle. I was able to open the window and enjoy the air. It was a very clean and quiet room. Wish I stayed there more than a night.

Location is in the middle of the little town, by the main roundabout. This is a mountain location and there is no noise at night. The room is fabulous, simple but furnished with taste, a nice curtain, red bedsheets, a spacious cupboard with a safe and a hairdryer. the bathroom is very functional. There are two good wall plugs, a little desk, a fan, a pretty curtain to the balcony which has great view into the mountains and the Gruyère Castle, a stunning view!. The breakfast is copious, tasty with fresh bakery and bread items plus the other trimmings like cheese, raw meat, yoghurts, fresh fruit etc. What was the best at this hotel? The Staff, the managers, owners, restaurant and hotel staff were courteous, helpful and very friendly. An amazing team with outstanding people skills, all of them, the kitchen and cleaning staff included. I rate their service and kindness as exceptional and extended my stay by 2 more nights. The Restaurant downstairs with its great Terrace is very well frequented by locals and other travellers, always fully occupied in the evenings. The Menu has traditional Swiss specialities, also French and international cuisine. Pizzas are amazing! I saw many people coming from outside for takeaway food. The surrounds offer many walks, tours and Alpine experiences, the Lindt chocolate factory is in this town. The Fromagerie in nearby Pringy and many more attractions. There is a fabulous Tourist information office in Charmey, a few kilometres up the road. The photo shows the illuminated Gruyère Castle seen from the room balcony

Beautiful location, amazing employees and a lovely concept of biological food and food from their own backyard. The lakes are brilliant and Gruyere is just a picturesque hike away. Also: really friendly cats on property :)

The view! MAGNIFICENT! We got a room overlooking Lake Gruyere and the mountains. Wow. Absolutely stunning. I sat on that balcony for hours and didn't want to leave. The breakfast is also terrific! So many fresh local options, including fresh fruit, and local gruyere cheeses and milk, yogurts. Staff is also super friendly. Loved it!

I loved everything about my room: the furnitures, the bathroom and the wonderful view. The staff were nice and helpful. The restaurant was also good. I came to Gruyères to visit the H. R. Giger Museum and bar. The hotel is centrally located, only a few steps from the Museum. It was perfect for me. Highly recommended.

All of it. Our first time to Switzeland and we were greeted by a lovely Julia who ensured us to treat the hotel like home. All the staff were gracious and couldn't do enough for us. The area was amazing. The whole trip exceeded our expectations.

I recently had the pleasure of a 3-night stay at this delightful hotel in Gruyères, and it exceeded all expectations. Upon my late arrival, Emilie warmly welcomed me, making me feel instantly at home. She graciously provided a tour of the hotel, introducing me to the charming resident cat, "Peluche." The room, spacious and tastefully decorated, boasted a generously comfortable double bed. The bathroom featured herbal and plant-based toiletries, adding a lovely touch. The common area with an open fire provided a cozy retreat in the evenings, and the complimentary 24/7 coffee machine was a thoughtful perk. Transforming into a breakfast haven in the morning, it offered a diverse spread, including a delicious homemade cake. Guillaume's swift and diligent service during a necessary room change on the second night showcased the staff's commitment to guest satisfaction. The second room, with its stunning mountain views, mirrored the comfort of the first. Guillaume's recommendations for nearby skiing options for children were greatly appreciated. The culinary experience, highlighted by a delightful dinner featuring cheese fondue and white wine, was exceptional. The entire staff consistently exhibited kindness and a willingness to assist, enhancing the overall hospitality. I eagerly anticipate a return visit in 2024 and extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team for crafting a truly memorable stay.
