What a beautiful place - so much nicer than the photos give away! Wonderfully simple yet tastefully decorated, with beautiful, artful period touches that make you really feel this lovely historic building's belonging in its time- even fine porcelain china and silverware for the guests to use and admire. We were moved and touched by the many wonderful details, and the feel of simple historic splendor. Everything was very clean and welcoming. We also enjoyed using the modern kitchen. The roses in the front were very welcoming and lovely, the area very quiet, with an occasional car going by but mostly just birdsong, a little rain and wind in the trees. The air is somehow extra fresh and fragrant at Pajusi! We really loved and appreciated our stay and will tell friends. Highly recommend.

If you love the relaxing sounds of nature, then this spot is for you. The apartment is next to the Põltsamaa River, across from Roosisaar (Rose Island), a beautiful park which seems to be popular with young couples. The river has a fairly strong current here, so you'll hear the relaxing sound of water pushing past the rocks and reeds. Surprisingly, you don't hear many manmade sounds here, so it's a wonderful spot to unwind. Most of the times we went out, there were ducks in the river or flying overhead. The ruins of Põltsamaa castle are a short walk down the road. In case you're a fan of The Czar's Madman, Võisiku manor is about fifteen minutes by bus, but sadly it's shut down and roped off as of June 2024. The apartment is spacious and has all the necessities for a couple (perhaps with one child), including plenty of cooking utensils. The large bed is comfy, and there is a small room where a youngster can sleep. The decor is unusual, as you can see from the photos, but my daughter loved the Soviet-era radio.
