The staff was amazing! They responded very quickly on booking.com chat to any questions. The rooms and bathrooms are large especially coming from Paris. It is very clean. The location is perfect in a little town and 30 seconds to the bus stop to take you to a popular 14km hiking spot. The restaurant in the hotel is Also very good. Lots of treats available in the shop too for presents to take home. Free parking on site.

Room was comfortable and well thought out with plenty of charging outlets which we ended up using all! pool/hot tub were great and meals were delicious. Would highly recommend!!

The Auberge des Cretes is private yet close to La Palud Sur Verdon and other towns, offering access to great hikes, like the Sentier Blanc-Martel. Staff was very friendly, gave great recommendations and went out of their way in helping us move around the Verdon (we didn’t have a car) The room was big, it had a balcony to enjoy the warmth of the sunset. Breakfast was fulfilling and dinner delicious.

The people who ran the campsite were lovely and spoke English. While not each campsite had perfect views of the lake, you are only a couple steps away from an amazing view.

Beautiful, quiet location near the lake: perfect for waking up early to go for a swim first thing in the morning. After that, we were delighted by the fantastic breakfast, which offered a wide selection including freshly baked croissants, cold meats, fruits, cheeses and local honey and jams. The château itself was lovely, with fun historic vibes and nice grounds perfect for families. It was very peaceful there at night - there was a fountain out the front that provided a very nice ambience. The staff were all very kind. For animal lovers there were horses, cats, dogs and even a goat kept on the grounds. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed (kettle, microwave and mini-fridge were a huge bonus). A big thank you to the staff at Château de Chanteraine for a wonderful stay!
