The host was very welcoming and allowed my family to see the animals outside of normal hours. The setting was idyllic and is well placed to explore switzerland, france and Germany. The Floridor is a marvellous hotel with a great restaurant and a superb balcony/terrace. The room was lovely: we travelled as a family of four (two parents, two teens aged 16 and 18). We had a double room and the kids slept on bunk beds in their own adjacent space with a sliding door: this worked brilliantly (and they loved their bedside USB points and lights). Fantastic bathroom and shower!!!!! Very comfortable. A quiet, out-of-the-way location and incredibly peaceful. Nice forest views. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, out on the terrace and the food was excellent: the trout poached in Riesling was a joy. Breakfast did not disappoint either, also taken out on the terrace. A first-rate family-run restaurant that was a highlight of our trip. Memorable!
