We only stayed for one night at La Madeline, on the way from Troyes to Orléans. The hotel restaurant and bar were closed. It was impossible for us to find an open restaurant anywhere in the village since it was Sunday night. BUT it was a super thing that right in front of the hotel there is a so called Rapid Market that sells everything (water, drinks, fresh fruit, canned food, wine, cheese, etc). We were able to use the microwave at the hotel and ate in their garden. It was pretty basic and rudimentary, but nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even if they didn't speak English. The room was in the back of the building. It was clean. The shower and toilet were separate. The hotel was very centrally located in the Village.

The gîte gives directly onto the Loire. Ideal for birders, cyclists, walkers, nature-lovers, etc. We saw a roe deer swimming across the river one evening. A nightingale sings in the garden (April). The village is at 10 minutes walk across fields and a little stream. Fleury Abbey is well worth a visit for its sculpted capitals and the Oratory of Germigny-des-Prés, and the Château of Sully are just a few kms away.

Excellent house, beautifully renovated and extremely comfortable. Peaceful location and we were very impressed by the host and his family. Hope to return here for a longer stay

Marie and Laurant were wonderful hosts. The room was spotlessy clean and comfortable. Even if I didn't book dinner in advance Laurent spontaneously served me a delicious homecooked meal which I really enjoyed. The public room was also very cozy in the evening, with a warm oven and sofas. I would surely come back, thanks :)
