Idyllic rural location - cows in field at fence, chickens around property, wildlife and birds yet only 15 minutes from big town, supermarkets etc for self-catering. Need car to be in this location. Grand-daughter (nearly 3) in party - property fenced - outdoor area - lots of kiddie size chairs (including rocker) - lots of toys including ride-on - cot, bunks - VERY suitable for children. Plenty of room inside - we had some very wet weather (September visit). A beautiful Northern Ireland country cottage with very helpful and delightful host! Easy access to main Northern Ireland tourist attractions - and the south.

The room we had was lovely, there was plenty of storage space, the beds were super comfortable and we all slept really well. The breakfast (Ulster fry) was an extra £11 per person, it was very nice and not too big, just the right size for us. John the owner was great, he’s a genuinely nice person and will do whatever he can to ensure you have a memorable stay at Banoge House. We will definitely be returning when we next visit family.

Host John was great fun and cooked a mean breakfast. He looked after my sister (adding a secret ingredient to the breakfast menu just for her) and I very well, setting us both up for a great day out at The Game of Thrones Studio Tour. The location is very peaceful country setting, with beautiful garden grounds. The accommodation is a large country house, with great period furniture. A full cooked Irish breakfast is included in the price an ideal place to chill out, will certainly return on our next visit to the area.. John (?) gave us a tour of the grounds including children’s den or disco! we didn’t take his advice though (use train) and drove down to Dublin for the day. OMG the traffic in that city. Of course would recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again.
