Overall, we had an amazing stay, and it was very affordable, even during Golden Week. I highly recommend staying here. This gorgeous house is about a 15 minute drive from the airport. We had a group of 7 people and had plenty of space. The downstairs room has a double bed and 2 futons. I think there were 3 futons in each of the 2 upstairs rooms. The house has 1 bathroom downstairs next to the washer/dryer. There are 3 toilets - 1 in the downstairs bedroom, 1 near the entry, and 1 at the top of the stairs. The 7 of us fit comfortably around the dining table for meals. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and equipment. There is a fridge, microwave, stove, oven, electric kettle, and rice cooker. I recommend you look through the kitchen before buying some items, as we saw a lot of oil, sugar, and various sauces. There was also some plastic wrap and aluminum foil that we used. The house has gorgeous wood furniture and decorative carvings, which give a rich homey feeling. Since our flight arrived around 6pm, the host suggested we stop at the nearby grocery store to buy essentials since many places on the island close early. When we arrived at the house, the door was unlocked and we called the host for check-in. She gave us a quick tour of the facilities and was very helpful with beach and restaurant recommendations during our stay. The house also has an ice machine on the patio and air conditioners in several rooms. There's a small portable bbq in the back that is free to use, but we didn't have a chance to use it. The living room has an ornate wooden table that we used in the evenings to play games. There are some toys and books for children too, so it seems very family-friendly.

奄美ゲストハウス HUB a nice INN features a bar and a shared lounge in Setouchi. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 46 km from Amami Marine Exhibition Hall. The atmosphere was so cool and relaxing. I also really appreciated that the cat kept me company while I was there alone!

Million pointz is a 1-star property situated in Amami. Among the facilities at this property are a lift and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout the property. This was the best hostel stay I ever had on my travels. The hostel is extremely clean, offers all the amenities you need and is beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail and design. The beds are spacious, very comfortable and offer much privacy. I also really liked the communal area, which is bright and very inviting to relax and enjoy your stay. It is centrally located right next to a lovely shopping street with cafes and restaurants. But the most amazing aspect was the owner, Misako-san, who made my stay in Amami unforgettable. She took a lot of time to show me around this beautiful island that is her home, showing me her favorite places and shared a lot of insights and recommendations. Misako-san really embodies the hospitality and kindness of Amami, she was an amazing host always there to help and make your time in Amami the best experience. I can only recommend that you visit and stay here!

Set 34 km from Yakusugi Land, TIDA Resort Yakushima 旧 屋久島海の胡汀路てぃーだ offers a terrace, a restaurant and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The accommodation has a hot tub. The food was sublime! Seriously. Everything tasted amazing. The cabins themselves are very high quality. They did not cut corners. Everything you need is in the kitchen and the washing machine worked great too. The private bath with large window was a centerpiece and a soak in the tub was transformative!!
