Wallawwa is a restored colonial manor house siting on 3 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, only 15 minutes' drive from Bandaranaike International Airport. The hotel ambience was very peaceful and comfortable which was just what we wanted the night before our flight home after a hectic 2 weeks travelling. The food also was very good

Riva, a distinguished villa in close proximity to Negombo, is a meticulously restored 180-year-old traditional manor house nestled within a lush five-acre coconut estate. I've stayed at many nice hotels in my life, and I have to say that the service at Uga Riva Negombo was perhaps the best I have ever experienced, even for properties of this caliber. They really went above and beyond to personalize my stay -- setting up a gorgeous little poolside table for my dinner, arranging transportation, giving me a tour of the property and its fascinating history, etc. Food was excellent. Property is beautiful. And, as a bonus, it's quite convenient to the airport. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately the weather was rather bad for us, so the rooftop bar was closed, but it also looked very nice and is certainly a nice evening spot.

We stayed in the Monsoon Villa, and it was simply a little piece of paradise surrounded by the countryside experiencing Sri Lanka at its best. From the time we arrived to departure, we felt so welcome, staff couldn't do enough for us with beautiful food and service. Whilst out of the city, the hotel offers everything you need and more, and we actually liked the tranquillity coming from Colombo. Honestly, do yourself a favour and don't hesitate to book here. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Well-kept garden and always clean house. Mobile Internet coverage is good here, so you can work remotely. The food here is very tasty and inexpensive. So I've always eaten here. The staff is very friendly and doesn’t ask unnecessary questions (as happens in Sri Lanka). I spent 10 days here and I felt very comfortable. There are fans in the rooms that can be turned on at low speeds, so you can’t hear them at all.
