Hax a pretty room, comfortable bed and lots of space. I looked at the 4-star hotel in town and it had the same decor/finishes. I liked the location, just 1/4 block away from the main tourist area, which is busy at night. Breakfast was good! In the plaza where this is, there's a town park, laundromat, groceries, farmacia and se eral restaurants.

The charming San Román de Escalante dates from the 17th century and features striking, individually decorated rooms with pieces of art work. Wonderful property located a km or so from the village of Escalante. Very quiet. Large room with comfortable bed. Super staff. Excellent breakfast included.

Our host was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Despite this being a last minute booking he laid on a delicious evening meal for us made with fresh produce from his farm. Our room was cosy and full of character. We were welcomed with a delicious breakfast the next morning. This is a very special place steeped in history and well worth a visit. We will definitely be back if we are passing again as it is a place that we will never forget. Thank you
