My wife was captivated by the scenes of riding a motorcycle and cruising through the town, and in the end, suddenly I found myself in Matera with my wife. Maria (if I got the name wrong, I am sorry!! ) who introduced us to the accommodation and the entire Matera area is a perfect 11 out of 10! We had a delightful time exploring the Matera area in the evening. Now, this is a story that only applies to Koreans (and I want to clarify that I'm referring to South Korea, not North Korea ). When we started craving Korean food, we heard about a restaurant called "Chimac" here, so we decided to visit. This experience was also very refreshing. If anyone is curious about Korean food, be sure to visit this place.

Attractively situated in the Sassi di Matera district of Matera, MOYSEION Matera - Immersion in a distant past is situated 600 metres from Palombaro Lungo, 500 metres from Matera Cathedral and 700... The experience was great. The hype is real for those that like to immerse in history. + The attention to details in the rooms, the dedication to the authenticity (like electrical lights are hidden with wood) is remarkable. + The room we booked had a great view of the town. Comfy beds. + We stayed during Christmas and the pool and spa baths in the caves were toasty warm. + The daily rituals (symposium with snacks and wine, the water ritual) are phenomenal and well done. + Breakfast was unique as well, all in the ancient style. + Free shuttle from the parking garage outside of the center as well (not far) + Very friendly staff

Situated in Matera and with Matera Cathedral reachable within 800 metres, Lo Stemma Luxury Boutique Hotel features concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a terrace, free WiFi throughout the property... I loved my stay in Lo Stemma. Great location, the rooms, nice and very friendly people. Extraordinary breakfasts and beautiful terrace.

Il Castello dei Principi Sanseverino has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Viggianello. Wonderful location with fantastic views, very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture which suits the castle. The evening menu was a 4 course set menu, but the staff did their best to accommodate gluten-free requirements. We did not find it difficult to find the castle as some other reviews have said.

Boasting a terrace, bar and views of city, PIANELLE RESORT is situated in Matera, 200 metres from Casa Grotta nei Sassi. We love their attention to details! This resort was built surround a private sassi and i must say, we had an best experience staying in it. Will choose to stay here again if we want to experience cave living in luxury. One of our bucket list ticked! 3 nights is not enough for us. :)

We had a wonderful few days in Matera with our family. The property is newly refurbished to a very high standard and felt both elegant and comfortable throughout our stay. The spaces are excellent, and the rooms are spacious and very well designed. The lift was a real bonus and made the stay especially easy and comfortable for the older members of our family. Breakfast was very good, both in quality and variety. The staff truly made the difference: Roberta was fantastic at breakfast, and Paolo and Brunella at reception were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind.
