ALISHAN HOTEL is located in Xianglin Village, Alishan Township, Chiayi County. It takes about 2.5 hours by car from Chiayi City to reach the Alishan National Scenic Area. We really liked the hotel We preferred a room in the modern building, and were a little worried about staying in the historic building, but to our delight the room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well lit. The bathroom was comfortable, spacious and clean as well. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. I would especially like to address the hotel manager, Gerald, who went out of his way to help us with any issue we wanted to find out: how to travel, routes, and transportation in the area. Although we were preparing and tried to learn and understand all the traffic options on the site, before arriving, there were many unclear points that Gerald helped us understand. His amazing attitude was expressed in endless patience, and willingness to sit with us without any time limit. We were very impressed by Gerald's modesty, and only at the end of the conversation with him, did we realize that he was actually the hotel manager, so spending time with us seemed even more incomprehensible. Gerald also took the trouble to check the travel details for us after leaving the hotel, from Alishan to Chiayi. We travel a lot, and we have never encountered such attitude and generosity.

Le Beau Max Resort features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and shared lounge in Fanlu. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a bar, as well as a hot tub and a spa centre. Beautiful bouquet of flowers in the entrance. Massive entrance hall to the hotel, high ceilings. Lots of facilities. we missed last orders for food but they especially cooked for us. Beds were firm which was great for my bad back. There is also a softplay room which was nice for the kids and there is a decent looking gym 👍
