The tents are perfect, the beds super comfy, giraffes walking by your tent! The staff were all so friendly and attentive. Thank you to Felix, Nelson, chef Nelson and above all Allan - who took us on two incredible game drives. I can’t say enough about how amazing Allan was. His knowledge of the Maasai Mara park, the animals, and his adventurous guiding ensured we saw everything!!!!!

This tent has a seating area, a balcony, garden views and a shared bathroom. The unit has 2 beds. I had a really great stay at Greenwood Camp and can honestly recommend it. Everything was very well organized from start to finish, including my transfers and even a guided walk I asked for. The camp is very clean and well maintained. I stayed in a basic tent, but it was comfortable, the bed was good, and I slept very well. The food was consistently excellent, and the staff were amazing — super friendly, helpful, and easygoing. You immediately feel welcome. The owner is also very involved, incredibly helpful, and clearly cares a lot about the place and the guest experience. The safari was a highlight. My guide William was very knowledgeable, fun and easy to talk to. We entered the park right at 6:00 a.m., and he really put in the effort to show me as much wildlife as possible. The timing and pacing of the day were perfect, and we were back at the camp around 6:30. The location is a big plus. Being so close to the gate makes everything very relaxed, and even around the camp itself I saw animals, including a hippo in the river and some baboons. Overall, a very relaxed, well-run camp with great service and atmosphere. I’d happily stay here again.

I can’t even explain how happy we are with our stay in Talek Bush camp. We booked it at the very last minute and I was not sure what to expect as we never slept in this kind of safari tent before. Everyone was so nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful. The tents were really specious and with enough space in between to provide some comfort and privacy. We arrived just before dinner time around 19 o’clock and we were served the food immediately. We stayed for two nights and both dinners were delicious and with a lot of vegetarian options. For the two days, we had our breakfast and lunch packed and we had a picnic inside the park while watching the wildlife around. It was just magical. The location is perfect just outside the Talek gate, so you don’t have to travel a lot early in the morning to enter the park. We had a problem with the guide that we booked before our arrival and we ended up having no guide for the next day at 22 o’clock. We called the owner Mustafa late in the evening, asking him if he could help us somehow. He not only picked up the phone despite the late hour but he also arranged a guide for us immediately and it turned out to be the best experience we had so far. Our new guide did the impossible to find us all of the big cats and we even saw all the big five in one single day in the park. if you happen to be there on Friday night they also have a cultural night around the campfire with Masai people explaining about their culture and dancing. We would be very happy to come back again if we have the chance. Just a perfect stay.

This tent's special feature is the fireplace. The tent provides a tea and coffee maker, a seating area, a balcony with garden views as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower. We had a really nice stay at Veilscamp. Not only Masai Mara by itself, even Veilscamp was the highlight of our whole Kenya-Trip. The food was amazing, we had 3 courses Menues, a tent all by ourselves and especially the staff was soo good. Peter stayed in contact with us even before we have arrived to get sure we get fresh lunch, Vivienne and Steve were all the time so kind and treated us so well. Thanks to all of you for making the stay unforgettable to us.

The staff from the reception ( Kennedy and Lin) , the chef and his staff, the helpers(Jacky) and the other ladies and also the security were amazing

Small (3 tents, one of which is a large family tent), intimate, charming camp, unfenced, ideally located, in the north conservancy, just 5 minutes from the Maasai Mara’s Musiara gate entrance, 15 minutes from the air strip. Completely local ownership and management, which we highly value and one of the reasons we chose this, together with the location and the small size. We had tent 3, high on stilts, large, private, wooden floors, huge netted windows, outside deck all around, unobstructed views on the savannah. Big comfortable bed with good mattress, en-suite bathroom with toilet and huge shower, running water. Electricity and hot water are solar - electricity is around the clock, so maybe the camp tops it up at night with a generator, but we never heard one. Large, charming traditional mess tent, with bar area, and extra lounge, wonderful outdoor deck with fire pit, small plunge pool with deck chairs. Food was excellent, they will apparently cater to dietary needs but have a fixed menu. Most meals in the mess tent, some scenically set in the bush. All drinks were included as was daily laundry. Highly knowledgeable and dedicated guides (William the owner, and Alex), game drives were mostly inside the park and arranged as and when we wished, with picnic breakfast and/or lunch, or not, as we wished. Park fees were included which made the offer we got superb value for money. We had been on safari several times almost 4 decades ago when luxury safaris were mobile or semi-permanent tented camps, small, unfenced, only with simple drop toilets and hot bucket showers, communication only via radio, bush cooking, communal mess tent and fire pit… but with an abundance of local staff delivering perfect, exclusive service. That’s the feeling we were looking for again and this is the closest we found on our trip to Kenya: very similar traditional, exclusive safari feeling , experience and charm, with great service, modern comforts, but no excesses and low imprint.
