We were here as a family and couldn’t be more happy.

Everyone was super nice. It was quiet and they accommodated all my wishes. I wanted to extend for two more days and it was no problem at all. We spent one night at the camp for a safari and the place was really nice. The food was excellent and the athmosphere around the fire at night was unforgetable. Staff is lovely.

The property is stunning—beautiful, calm, and completely surrounded by nature—creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at ease. Everything was spotlessly clean, well presented, and thoughtfully maintained. The tents/rooms were spacious, cozy, and extremely comfortable, blending luxury perfectly with the wilderness experience. The staff were absolutely outstanding—super friendly, attentive, and always ensuring we were comfortable. The level of service genuinely exceeded our already high expectations. The food was delicious, especially the traditional Sri Lankan dishes, served in very generous portions. A special mention goes to the chef, who even baked fresh croissants and Danish pastries for us—an unexpected and truly exceptional touch! Security was another major highlight of our stay. The property has 24-hour security service, CCTV cameras around the tents, and regular night patrols carried out by two dedicated security officers. This level of attention made us feel completely safe and well cared for at all times, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the natural surroundings without any concern. We also booked a safari through the hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Manusha, a brilliant ornithologist (bird expert) and our extremely knowledgeable guide, we were fortunate enough to see elephants, sloth bears, and leopards all in one day. The safari guides were professional, experienced, and clearly passionate about wildlife. From the warm welcome to the safari and everything in between, everything was perfect. Housekeeping was excellent and went the extra mile to make our stay truly special. Thamaravila truly stands out as an outstanding destination and is a must-visit for wildlife and nature lovers from all over the world. Highly, highly recommended!

Came for 2 nights, stayed for 8. The place was very relaxed and had a nice peaceful energy. The food was excellent and I ate there every day. Harshan was super helpful, offering to pick up things from the shops, taking me into town etc. He even, arranged a doctor for me when I was sick and came with me to make sure I was ok. He's a really nice guy and we had many interesting talks. The other people staying there were really nice and we all ate together and had drinks in the evening. It was a really nice vibe.

This place is gorgeous—a hidden gem tucked away in serene Kalpitiya that deserves way more attention than it gets. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted. The property is huge, incredibly clean, and so peaceful that it felt like time slowed down. The architecture is stunning—eco-chic in the best way. We stayed in one of their luxury tents, and let me just say... it was out of a dream. Spacious interiors, a thoughtfully designed bathroom, and an outdoor shower that made me feel like I was in a nature-luxe fantasy. The view? Breathtaking. There's even a windmill nearby that adds a rustic charm to the horizon, and we loved it—it added so much character to the vibe. The pool was picture-perfect, and the whole atmosphere just made us feel like we had escaped to our own private paradise. Dinner was beautifully arranged—delicious, fresh, and served with care. In the morning, we asked if we could have breakfast by the beach, and they went out of their way to set it up for us. That gesture alone won my heart. I truly don’t understand why this place isn’t packed—maybe that’s part of its charm. But trust me, more people need to discover this slice of heaven. I’ll definitely be going back.
