Nirvaan is a wonderful lodge in the middle of nature and very close to Wilpattu national park. We were lucky to be around when Ranil, the owner, was there. Ranil is a respected conservation biologist and a wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna in Wilpattu and in Sri Lanka at large. He arranges safaris with good naturalists and drivers. His trips may be a bit more costly than what other providers will offer you, but you get a better jeep where you can interact with the guide and driver while you drive. We saw lots of wildlife even though we did not see the big ones- elephants and leopards. Ranil runs an organisation that aims to protect wildlife in cooperation with local people. He was so kind to take us to see one of the projects nearby. We admire the work he does. We highly recommend this lodge.

The fireplace is the standout feature of this tent. The tent features a washing machine, a private entrance, as well as a private bathroom boasting a walk-in shower and a bath. Very good stay for a trip to Wilpattu National Park as Safari Tours are offered and you can enter the park fron the Western Entrance. I made a half day safari and saw leopard and elefants and many more animals. Don´t miss out to go to the beautiful lake just 10 minutes away and to the rice fields - it´s beautiful there! The staff ist very friendly and helpful and the food is good. So overall a perfect stay for Wilpattu!

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. The staff at Big Game was absolutely wonderful. Everybody was very kind and helpful. The camp gives you a real safari experience. The facilities were very nice for a tent camping. We also really enjoyed the daily activities that were scheduled, the romantic apero aside the campfire and the tasty dinner by candle light. We planned our safari with them and got a wonderful guide who taught us everything about the Wilpattu national park and its inhabitants. Would definitely recommend

This tent features a sofa, patio and private entrance. Stylish and eco-friendly, Dolphin Beach features luxurious tents next to a private stretch on Alankuda Beach, Sri Lanka. The beach location was wonderful. The tents were really comfortable and well-equipped. The swimming pool was quiet and sea two steps away. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing with delicious curries and dal, fruit and cakes and eggs etc. The staff arranged our dolphin boat trip and the dolphins swam around underneath us - a magical experience. Great spot for bird watching too. We highly recommend Dolphin Beach Resort - a very special place.

Located in Wilpattu and with Kumbichchan Kulama Tank reachable within 34 km, Glamping Wilpattu by Thamaravila provides express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, pool with a view, free WiFi... Could not recommend Thamaravila more! Everything was fantastic from the welcome to the safari and everything in between. The service was fantastic and all staff were extremely friendly. The traditional Sri Lankan food was delicious. Our safari experience was also amazing, seeing elephants, sloth bears and leopards all in one day! Thanks to Priya who was our very knowledgeable guide on the day. The rooms were very spacious and the location is so quiet and peaceful.
