Ranil and his team undertook one of the largest study of Sloth Bears so they know a thing or two when it came to the safari. We spent a day ticking off the most wonderful array of wildlife. We were here as a family and couldn’t be more happy.

The fireplace is the standout feature of this tent. The tent features a washing machine, a private entrance, as well as a private bathroom boasting a walk-in shower and a bath. I had a wonderful stay with Riswan and his family. They truly care about offering the best possible experience to their guests and sharing the beauty of their region. They even managed to organize a last-minute safari for me at a very reasonable price, especially considering how well the day went (great driver, breakfast + lunch included) – $50 for a half day, $95 for a full day. As for the wildlife, I was lucky not only in the park but also around the village where the guesthouse is located. It’s not uncommon to see one or even several elephants passing by – though of course, that’s up to Mother Nature! Overall, a fantastic experience. A big thank you to Riswan and his brother for their kindness and for taking the time to help me plan my route. Good to know: there’s a local bus that runs from the village to Puttalam for 150 LKR, 1h, starting around 7 AM, with connections to many other destinations from there.

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. They are really well organised! Everything went well! I loved the location, the staff and I ve never slept in a tent so comfortable!:):) They also organised the safari for us!

The place was exceptional. It was clean, spacious and well presented. the staff and the service was exceptional and well exceeded my already high expectations.

Nastanitev summer wave je v mestu Kalpitiya in nudi brezplačen WiFi, brezplačno izposojo koles, vrt ter teraso. Nekatere enote imajo predel za sedenje in/ali verando. Came for 2 nights, stayed for 8. The place was very relaxed and had a nice peaceful energy. The food was excellent and I ate there every day. Harshan was super helpful, offering to pick up things from the shops, taking me into town etc. He even, arranged a doctor for me when I was sick and came with me to make sure I was ok. He's a really nice guy and we had many interesting talks. The other people staying there were really nice and we all ate together and had drinks in the evening. It was a really nice vibe.

This fan-cooled tent has a safe, dining and sofa seating areas. Private bathroom comes with a shower and free toiletries. The staff and service was what stands out the most, they do their best to ensure you are always safe and clean. It's on the expensive side but what you are paying for is the extensive knowledge of the guide on the safari which is missing in other places. We have both learnt a lot about different animals and behaviours on this safari and it's an experience that will stay with us forever
