We couldn’t fault Nirvaan Safari Lodge and had a fantastic 2 night stay. The food was amazing, all cooked to order with delicious vegetable, chicken and fish curries. The setting is idyllic away quite far from the road next to a paddy field. Lots of birds and insects to see. The biodiversity meant there weren’t many mosquitos too! The tents have everything you need. They aren’t big but they are comfortable with a spacious bathroom attached and a nice balcony to sit at. Ranil and his team really looked after us and their service is great. Our safari to Wilpattu was amazing and organised by the lodge. We saw leopard, bear, monkeys, three types of deer, crocodiles and many beautiful birds. The naturalist was a fountain of knowledge and made the day really special. Thank you for a great stay.

Everyone was super nice. It was quiet and they accommodated all my wishes. I wanted to extend for two more days and it was no problem at all. The safari that I booked through them was amazing and the transfer that they organized was perfect. Happy to go back Thanks so much 😊

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. Quiet and cozy. The staff was phenomenal. We mistakenly got our dates mixed up (thanks jet lag) and showed up a day early. Staff was very accommodating and we were able to move up our booking by a day. Dinner was lovely and both afternoon and morning safaris were great. We loved our guide!

No words to describe how beautiful is the resort. It was the best place we stayed for the whole trip. The manager is super kind, the staff always smiling and attentive, the food super tasty and the atmosphere incredible. The rooms are nice and clean, and the furniture well designed. We also enjoyed a really good massage!

Everything was spotlessly clean, well presented, and thoughtfully maintained. The tents/rooms were spacious, cozy, and extremely comfortable, blending luxury perfectly with the wilderness experience. The staff were absolutely outstanding—super friendly, attentive, and always ensuring we were comfortable. The level of service genuinely exceeded our already high expectations. The food was delicious, especially the traditional Sri Lankan dishes, served in very generous portions. A special mention goes to the chef, who even baked fresh croissants and Danish pastries for us—an unexpected and truly exceptional touch! Security was another major highlight of our stay. The property has 24-hour security service, CCTV cameras around the tents, and regular night patrols carried out by two dedicated security officers. This level of attention made us feel completely safe and well cared for at all times, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the natural surroundings without any concern. We also booked a safari through the hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Manusha, a brilliant ornithologist (bird expert) and our extremely knowledgeable guide, we were fortunate enough to see elephants, sloth bears, and leopards all in one day. The safari guides were professional, experienced, and clearly passionate about wildlife. From the warm welcome to the safari and everything in between, everything was perfect. Housekeeping was excellent and went the extra mile to make our stay truly special. Thamaravila truly stands out as an outstanding destination and is a must-visit for wildlife and nature lovers from all over the world. Highly, highly recommended!
