We arrived easily by Uber from Funchal, and the road was perfectly fine. Highly recommended!

Dioclécio, the host, was extremely friendly and always concerned about our well-being. A special highlight were the cute donkeys that we immediately fell in love with. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!
