We had an amazing stay in Calheta Glamping Pods. All is well designed and provides a relaxed atmosphere. We like to spend our time on our private terrace on a hammock with a glass of wine. The territory is calm and beautiful with lots of flowers around and a pool. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioner worked fine, and the bathroom was good. We had a small kitchen with all the staff you need to cook something. It was great to have a shared washing machine with drying mode - you should just pay 1 euro for the capsule. And we like to have complementary bread with a jam on our breakfasts. It took us around 10 minutes drive to get to the city center and a sendy beach. I definitely recommend this place.

Incredibly cozy accommodation with a beautiful garden, surrounded by mountains. Everything was spotless clean, the shared kitchen and bathroom were equipped with the necessary items. We slept in a tent, but we weren't cold at all even when it got chilly outside during the night. We really enjoyed staying here, I'd recommend it as a base for exploring the north and west of the island. The host was very welcoming and the whole place was just so charming :)

This place is great for those wanting to disconnect. The host was so supportive and attentive and fixed any issues immediately (one day water didn’t work). It’s also a 6-8 hour round trip to pico do Areiro hiking from the shelters, just follow the markers.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic retreat in the mountains. Felt completely removed from busy life, which was the intention! Comfortable, clean, and cosy. The host was super friendly. The food at the local cafe was great. The donkeys were cute.
