The views were excellent, the morning bread was very thoughtful, the hammocks on the balcony were a great touch, everything was very comfortable, and the staff was very attentive. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Felt completely removed from busy life, which was the intention! Comfortable, clean, and cosy. The host was super friendly. The food at the local cafe was great. The donkeys were cute.
