Room was nicely decorated and comfortable. We were on the top floor and had an outstanding view from the window. The staff/owners were all very nice and accommodating. From letting us drop off our luggage before check in to getting us a taxi to get back to the train station. Property was nicely located right in between Windermere and Bowness. Very close to a bus stop for the hop on hop off bus that made it so easy to explore more of the Lake District.

The hotel is in 15 acres of grounds, with lawns up to the shores of Lake Ullswater.

Memorable warm reception and hospitality by Jackie and Nigel. Our entire stay was fantastic, from the "Nigel" breakfasts to the relaxed and comfortable experience of the accommodation. This was our first experience of the Lake District. We were very happy we chose this location as a base given the popularity of the usual Lake District locations. Great location and easy access to all attractions and walking trails, away from the crowds. We would stay here again on our next trip!

The Cumbria Grand is on 25 acres of gardens and woodlands, and is only a 15-minute drive from Lake Windermere. It provides free Wi-Fi in public areas of the property.

My sister and I loved EVERYTHING about our sweet room at Broadlands Windermere. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy the area, and walkable to all of the shops, restaurants and attractions on our list to visit. The beds were very comfy, and the shower was lovely. Dawn was such a friendly hostess!! We enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you, Dawn ❤️
