It is central in Newtonmore, extremely well presented inside to a very high standard. Lovely colour coordinated rooms. Our bedroom, bathroom and shower was immaculate.Very cosy and safe feeling. The breakfast was excellent, very good quality food. The young lady who cooked our food was very friendly and professional and a good host. We HIGHLY recommend this guesthouse.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Craggan is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Ballater, 16 km from Balmoral Castle. Craggan is not like other B&B's, or any other accommodations for that matter. Martyn and Louise are the most relaxed and warmest of hosts, yet they work so hard to deliver for their guests. They have created a beautiful, luxurious, and unique property that delivers a very personal experience. My partner and I stayed in the Balmain Room. Every detail had been thought of; two pieces of lemon drizzle cake in the room as a welcome was a lovely touch. The room is beauitfully appointed, very spacious with views on the beautiful grounds that surround the house, and it's own separate entrance (only the Balmain room has this I think) The bed is huge and super comfortable, we slept so well. The bathroom is also spacious and luxurious. Breakfast is made to order each morning, in addition to a breakfast buffet that you can help yourself to. Louise bakes all the cakes herself and they are superb. This is a stay I will always remember.

Located in Nethy Bridge, less than 1 km from Abernethy Golf Club, Ptarmigan provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Lovely apartment in a beautiful area, the hosts were very nice and even offered some breakfast items. You can do a nice walk through nature to the Nethy Bridge Hotel for dinner. But the best thing: a highland cow near the castle and the miniature donkeys you could watch from the porch :)

Situated just 1.7 km from Ruthven Barracks, Gynack Villa offers accommodation in Kingussie with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as luggage storage space. Excellent host, very friendly and knowledgeable, even drove me to a starting point for a hike and lent me a bike!
