Located in Lagoi, 500 metres from Lagoi Beach, Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi Beach by IHG provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. We had a pleasant stay at Holiday Inn. The staff were amazing, and we were very satisfied with the hospitality. The food was decent. One of the reasons we chose Holiday Inn was because of the facilities that cater to kids. We didn’t plan to go out, as we wanted to spend our entire time at the hotel. It is truly kid-friendly, and we will definitely come back.

Boasting cosy and bright-coloured living space, Cassia Bintan, part of Banyan Group is located in Lagoi, 44 km from Desaru. The beach is awesome, a patch of paradise. Kudos to Cassia as they also run a turtle rescue program and have a nursery on the premises. Excellent initiative!. The beach has still a reef nearby, with many fishes minding their own business down there. Beautiful!

Homm Laguna Bintan is nestled along a private beach on Tanjong Said Bay overlooking South China Sea. It offers water sports facilities at its marine centre. Amazing staff who are obviously well trained and well motivated. If we needed anything the staff were there in seconds to help, with a smile. Lots of facilities and activities available in the complex. Decent value with half board and transfers included from ferry terminal.

I visited Banyan Tree for a healthful long-weekend retreat. The Sunrise Yoga and other yoga classes were wonderful, and the spa services exceptional. The staff are simply outstanding! Loved the healthy juices and the comprehensive breakfast buffet. Fantastic views of the sea.

Set on the beaches of Lagoi, this resort offers chalets with a thatched roof, a private terrace and garden or sea views. It houses a spa and provides free WiFi. We had sea facing chalets with the gentle sounds of the water in the background. The chalets were good quality and large enough for a comfortable stay. Spice Indian Restaurant, near Mayang Sari was good.
