The hosts could not have been more helpful. The facilities in the Cottage were all what we would have wanted as was the cutlery, cooking utensils etc. A very nice touch was that the hosts decorated the cottage for Christmas which we truly appreciated.

It was perfect and had everything we needed. Maretta and Tony were the hosts of your dreams and provided us with everything we needed before and during our stay. We have so many fabulous memories made in the amazing barn conversion and having our own private bar.

Dirreen House is situated in Athea, 44 km from Siamsa Tire Theatre, 33 km from Crag Cave, as well as 33 km from Ballybunion Golf Club. Homemade breads and rolls, plus a chocolate bar and bottle of wine that the girls loved. I wish I knew the fridge was fully stocked for breakfast items as we stopped at a store and purchased the same items to cook a full Irish breakfast. I'm sure the next guest will put the items to good use. We hope to come back for a longer stay to explore my wife's family ancestry area, and meet with the locals who know the history of the area.

Anything a person would need for a holiday was provided... kitchen had all mod cons, extra bedding and towels and excellent internet. The beds were so very comfortable and the rooms very warm. The location was so peaceful and quiet. This is truly an exceptional property.
