We had a wonderful stay at The Houghton Hotel during our trip to South Africa. The hotel is incredibly modern and stylish, with very spacious rooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long flight. One of the highlights was the breakfast, very tasty and lots of options. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were especially grateful that they accommodated a very early check-in so we could rest right away. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the hotel’s amenities, we did take a look around and everything—from the pool area to the wellness facilities—looked top-notch and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale base in Johannesburg.

Sunrock Guesthouse offers free airport shuttle is available from and to OR Tambo International Airport, a barbecue and entertainment area, a fully-licensed bar and an outdoor pool. As a solo traveler arriving late at OR Tambo I felt a bit concerned about my safety but the driver Tony was on time to pick me up and very respectful. The accommodation is close to the airport, very charming and clean. Friendly staff. I’ll definitely stay with them again in a near future.

Thabo, the owner was always very friendly and made sure we had a wonderful stay in his beautiful apartment. The apartment is basically next to the Brooklyn Mall, so we had all the restaurants and shops really close by. We felt very safe (there are security guards 24/7). With 100% I can recommend this lovely apartment!
