Everything was exceptional, the food was amazing with fresh tropical fruit, bread, fresh veg, rice, noodles, fresh coffee all home made or from their garden. The hosts are a lovely family who are so welcoming with lovely children. We went up Mount Bromo and did a 26k run which worked very well. You can also do a walk of about 15k which is beautiful. We also visited a waterfall nearby which we also ran to. Rani organises everything for you, driver and any national park entry all at a local price. They also organise your pick up and drop off from Malang or Surabaya airports again for a local price. Cannot recommend enough!

Mountain Ecolodge está ubicado en Gubukklakah, a 23 km de Velodrome Malang y a 24 km de Bentoel Museum. A great location in the midst of nature, detached from others. Great view from the room and from the terrace, fresh air. Located between Malang and Bromo, so it is very convenient to go from the ecolodge to the Bromo tour. Scooters can be only rented on Malang, better to take minumun 120cc if you want to travel around, for example, to Sewu waterfall. Gojek works, but in the evening there maybe problems to get one, get a car in advance or ask the owner. The owners btw are very very cool and helpful! Thank you for helping us out!!!! Prepare warm clothes and socks.

I really loved the location — it feels like the countryside, close to the rice fields. I wish I could’ve stayed longer; it’s such a peaceful place with crickets singing at night and a very cozy atmosphere. The property is extremely clean, and the room was very spacious, beautifully decorated with wooden furniture, and had a small terrace. The cottages are surrounded by greenery, and there’s also a restaurant on-site. The staff were absolutely lovely, and it was easy to order a Grab from here. You can even see the temple from a distance — such a charming place!

Este lugar es como estar en casa, muy hermoso, la dueña muy amable siempre con la mejor actitud. La limpieza excelente y sobre todo me encantó la comida muy rica. El tour lo tomé con ellos y fue perfecto me cuidaron mucho en el tour y siempre estuvieron pendientes de mí. Este lugar es un 10/10. Thanks i loved this place, I hope to come back again … 😄

La hija de los dueños me dio una bienvenida muy profesional y me trato super bien explicándome todo y ofreciendo excursiones, transporte, etc. Sitio de locales perfecto para la excursión al volcán ijen.
