We visited Panama for the second time, and once again, we absolutely loved it. While looking for a beautiful place to stay, we came across this little hidden gem 💍– and what a find it was! Arrival & Welcome We were picked up by a private boat and warmly welcomed. The boat ride took around 45 minutes and was truly enjoyable. Along the way, we received interesting information about the surrounding islands – and even spotted dolphins! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delicious welcome cocktail before our first meal. Such a lovely touch!☀️😍 Room The room was spacious and very comfortable. We’ve seen a lot of bathrooms throughout Panama, and many of them lack a proper shower. But here – the shower was fantastic! Great water pressure and lovely hot water – such a treat. :) Breakfast Breakfast was amazing. The host really listened to our preferences, and I was thrilled to have my fried egg every morning – along with fresh fruit and avocado. A perfect start to the day! Lunch Lunch was absolutely delicious – we had shrimp with coconut rice and plantains. A real taste of local cuisine that felt authentic and lovingly prepared. Dinner The highlight of our meals was definitely pizza night on our last evening! It was such a fun, communal experience with homemade pizza in creative and tasty varieties. So cool – and honestly, unforgettable. Surroundings The water around the property was crystal clear – it felt like swimming in a private aquarium. We saw a small shark, a stingray, colorful fish, and more – all right in front of our room. I’m usually a bit hesitant in the water, but here, I felt completely safe and at ease. The trees, the light, the tranquility – I can’t even describe how beautiful it was. Truly one of my personal highlights – such peace and connection with nature. Activities The hosts’ children were incredibly kind and welcoming.

Offering views of the sea, La Loma Jungle Lodge and Chocolate Farm is located in Isla Bastimentos, 10 km from Bocas Town. Our bungalow was nestled in the middle of the forest where we listened to all of nature's beautiful sounds. The food and cocktails were amazing and the lodge has a beautiful view. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The Cacao Tour was educational and the grounds are well maintained. Highly recommended A++

Casa Acuario Boutique Hotel asub Careneros, 2,7 km kaugusel Y Griega rannast. Kohapeal on rannaäärne majutusasutus, kus on restoran, baar ja erarand. Peretubades on grillimisvõimalus. The attention to detail and way the rooms and hotel grounds were carefully curated was so unique and beautiful. You could tell a lot of time and effort goes into making sure guests have a unique experience, and I surely did as part of my stay. The location was perfect and easy to get to the main island and other islands within Bocas - not to mention the views over the water were insanely beautiful. The breakfast options in the morning were terrific and all the staff were so helpful and thorough in their duties . The owners were amazing and helped with suggestions on activities, transportation, and overall everything that you needed to know to have a great experience. They were super friendly and helpful, and they made my experience so much better by being just really good people. I’ve already recommended Casa Aquario to friends and family, and I look to go back again in the future. 10 out of 10 experience.

Hotell Tierra Verde Bed and Breakfast asub Bocas del Toros, Carenero rannast mõne sammu kaugusel. Isla Carenero had everything for me. Restaurants, bars, beach, and great surf. I booked an excursion through the hotel to go snorkelling which was less expensive than what I had been told. The tour boat picked me and another couple up right from tierra verdes dock shortly after breakfast

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Garden Rooms is a recently renovated guest house set in Bocas del Toro, 700 metres from Istmito. The property has quiet street views. Great experience! The place is magic, I ended up extending my stay and changing my plans because I felt at home! I loved the beautiful garden and how quiet the place is! Close to the centre but far enough to enjoy peace and nature. The host and the staff are cheerful and welcoming, always available to help and give you tips to discover the islands. I would definitely come back and recommend to stay here!

Exactly what I was looking for. Pineapple House Bocas is perfect for couples who want to explore Bocas and the surrounding islands without sacrificing comfort. Mabel manages the property exceptionally and attended to our every need. We already booked again for next year.

This lovely place is located on the island of Bastimentos, less than 15 minutes away from the main island by speed boat. It has great views of the ocean from any of the cabinas! I had the best view from my private cabina with a private bathroom. I loved the abundance of fruit trees available (starfruit, banana 🍌, coconut 🥥). My cabina was spacious, and I love having windows 🪟; there were 3 in my cabina, and one was over the bed that opened completely to the freshness of nature. Simon is very nice and welcoming. He helped me tremendously when I needed a little cash until I got back to the mainland. He was attentive to other requested needs of fixing the plumbing and cleaning the kitchen when I suggested it. Simon suggested I visit Playa Estrella by bus, which was very affordable ($5 round trip). It was a lovely day spent there, and I saw 6 starfish. I ate the best meal of the five nights I spent in Bocas - the best red snapper of my life, and I could actually taste the coconut milk in the Caribbean rice & beans with a nice fresh salad 😋 from the first restaurant after you exit the bus 🚌. I love Florindo, the maintenance guy! He was very helpful to me with whatever I needed. If you see a Jamaican lady (Chi-chi) selling Plantain tarte from her porch, you should try some. She's kept her grandmother's original recipe, and it's been the best I've ever eaten. She only makes them a couple of times a week, so get it when you see her. Also, there's an Indian woman who you may find sitting at the bridge near the Jamaican's home selling coco bread; it is also delicious 😋. I wished I'd bought the entire pack.
