Tuscan style stone and wood house, located in the second row from the main road in an old olive grove with tall pine and cypress trees. The distance to the tarmac road is >100 metres, which guarantees silence and peace. Location on a sunny south facing slope. The property is separated from the neighbours (farmers) by a high wire mesh and the main metal gate is lockable. The lower boundary of the property is a valley floor with a mountain stream with a pebble bottom. An ideal place to stay with your dog. The view from the house is beautiful over the opposite slope of the valley (vineyards, forest) and the distant medieval hilltop towns (Roccastrada, Civitella M.). The main tourist attractions (Siena, Val d'Orcia) can be reached in an hour by car, the same amount of time it takes to reach the seaside beaches. Two-floor house, as in the Booking description. A steep internal staircase leads to the upper floor, as well as a terracotta staircase outside. Furnishings very comfortable, with attention to detail. Very high speed internet and satellite TV with a very rich offer. A wood stove is a nice addition for cool spring evenings 😊 Contact with very nice owner via internet and phone. From him you get detailed instructions on how to get there and how to use the Il Pino....

Idyllic, beautiful location with access to woods and olive grove. Exceptionally well maintained inside and out, with unusual high level of attention to details. Greeted with complimentary wine, huge fruit basket and kitchen basics. The key holder/cleaner waited for our delayed arrival and was super friendly and helpful. Good Wi-Fi connection. We loved the wood stove.

The house is located just a few kilometers from a small village Roccastrada. Main house has 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds and 1 shared bathroom (all in upper floor). Have in mind that the bedrooms are connected, so in order to reach the bathroom at night you need to pass another bedroom. Another bedroom with 2 single beds and private bathroom is outside in a smaller house. The stairs to the upper floor are quite steep and very narrow, need to take extra care while climbing. The main house can be heated by firewood (provided for free by the host) and gas (which you have to pay for - we didn't use this option). Travelling on 26th April to 4th May we had few rainy days and it was quite cold (no extra blankets in the house). The smaller house is heated only by air-conditioner which was not working very efficiently. Pets are allowed and it was perfect to sit on the terrace in the evening. There is a fine working grill outside and you can also bake pizza (didn't try ourselves). House is surrounded by several other houses, however we had a super quiet week and only few times saw other people around.
