All the facilities (and more), with an incredible shower, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, etc. Me and my dog were welcomed with open arms and really enjoyed our little stay. Perfect stop on our roadtrip.

Lovely host. We took up his offer to pick us up from the train station for 15 euro as we did not have a car. He also invited us to an evening in the village explaining the history of Nieul sur mer which ended up at the property. A lot of fun. Very comfortable spacious apartment/gîte with lovely outdoor area. Beautiful pool but alas while we were there the weather was too cool to swim. Bus 11 from La Rochelle is an easy ride to the property. Note. It does not run on a Sunday.

Our hosts, Jocelyne and Christian, were amazingly helpful, friendly and hospitable, providing lots of information about the area as well as assistance with car hire and transfers. They really made our holiday special. The villages on the island were interesting and very accessible. Each little village had its own quirky cuteness.
