This hotel was fantastic. I stayed one night with my mother last week. The staff could not do enough for us, they happily filled water bottles for us and every staff member was so friendly. The room was comfortable and clean, comfy beds and great water pressure in the shower. Having breakfast each morning included in the room rate was absolutely priceless. It is so close to everything, a short walk to the museums down the river and there's an underground station directly across from the hotel to take you to see the sights. I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express Alexanderplatz and we really could not fault the hotel. We arrived quite early and had planned on dropping our bags at the hotel to check in at a later time, but when we arrived they actually had a room ready for us which was just incredible. Obviously this is not something you should expect but it was such a nice bonus for us after a very early flight! There is a basic food menu in the evening, which is very reasonably priced. I stayed elsewhere in Berlin earlier in the year and I will definitely be trying to book the Holiday Inn Express for future visits!

Since I was attending an event nearby, this turned out to be the perfect place for a night's stay. It's close to a varied number of public transportation, restaurants and small diners. The staff were very kind, helpful and absolute professionals. The room itself was cosy and perfect for a solo trip. :)
