We received a very warm welcome when arriving late in the evening. The hosts arranged a family dinner so we could relax which was delicious . I got sick before my group arrived and they offered to drive me to a doctor. The homestay is immaculate. Very clean, hot showers, comfortable beds and cool AC. Thank you for your hospitality

The room is a bit small and basic but for okay for a 1 night stay. Terrace with a splendid view, you can also use the kitchen, sitting room, dining room. The caretaker went out of his way to help us with anything and cooked us a really delicious dinner.

This hotel had a killer view. The food was absolutely delicious and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. They brought us tea in the evening and coffee in the morning. The room was big and very comfortable. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Sarath and his wife Deepthi are the most delightful hosts. We had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home in the jungle. We had a steam massage (highly recommended) and Sarath took us for walks around his spice plantation. It’s a beautiful place to unwind and chill, and you are looked after so well. Deepthi’s cooking is amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Bungalow is situated within a former tea estate and is a place where the modern hospitality meets the colonial charm. The staff is super friendly and is very attentive to the needs of the guests. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bougainvillea Retreat in Kandy! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome and everyone was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay perfect. The setting is breathtaking, with stunning views of the mountains and lush gardens all around. The infinity pool is a highlight, offering spectacular views and a peaceful place to unwind. I also enjoyed delicious food prepared by the talented chef-every meal was fresh and full of flavor. The retreat has so many thoughtful touches, from the open-air spa and relaxing massages to the cozy lounge with books and games. Whether you want to explore the area, play a round of golf, or just relax by the pool, this is the perfect place to do it. I can’t recommend Bougainvillea Retreat enough for anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious escape near Kandy. I left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to return!
