The property is in an amazing location and it is very walkable. The rooms are a good size and for sharing bathrooms you only share with two other guests. The main reason why this stay was so amazing was the staff. They regularly check up on you and ask if they can do anything to make your stay better. They sent a two day itinerary of suggestions and when we asked for more pillows, we came home to them on our bed. More notably, my boyfriend got food poisoning and they got supplies from another of their accommodations to help us and offered to go to get him medicine (at midnight).

We enjoyed the entire week at Green Gates. The location was great and the building made us feel we were living during the colonial era Penang. The food in the area was great and the hotel is conveniently close to all the sites we wanted to visit in Georgetown. Ms Fazeela was an exceptional host and helped us with anything we needed. Looking forward to our next visit. The complimentary visit to the museum across the street is worth a visit as well.

A place that feels like home! Friendly and responsive owner! The Accomodation is simple with a rustic heritage setting. It has two bedrooms (if the other room is not occupied you will get the whole house to yourself!). Location is a plus point as it's located nearby many famous landmarks around Georgetown so guest could easily walk around to explore. Enjoyed my stay and highly recommended to all travelers!
