Situated in Berastagi, 25 km from Mount Sinabung, Kaesa Homestay features accommodation with a garden and free private parking. The friendliest, most welcoming hosts! We were given a welcome drink and a full explanation (and map) detailing all the best food places, attractions etc. Everyone who works there is so friendly and it felt like a home away from home! We were able to organise transport to Lake Toba with them as well as having an amazing guide, Ipoh, to take us to the volcano and hot springs. Honestly do the volcano tour if you stay here! It’s so well organised, our guide was really well informed and so friendly and even brought tea for us to enjoy with the sunrise! The rooms are pristine, it is probably the cleanest room we have stayed in during our 8 months of travelling. It smells so clean and the beds are really comfortable! It’s a great location within walking distance of everything you would need while staying there. We loved our stay here and we were honestly sad to leave!

Thank you for your kindness 🙏🏼 We made the one night jungle trek and it was just an incredible experience ! The camp was very privative and we were alone in the middle of nowhere. Situated in Padang and only 1.1 km from Air Manis Beach, The view padang, Amazing view, 8 mins Mentawai fast ferry, cold beer, close to restaurants features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and... We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! A huge thank you to Robert, who was incredibly attentive and helped us with everything — from surfboard rentals to booking the fast ferry to Mentawai. Truly excellent service. Highly recommended!

JUNGLE LIFE GUEST HOUSE - Trekking & Transport Only Book With Us is set in Bukit Lawang and has a pool with a view and river views. Staff were great for organising trips. Super close to the start of the treks and a lovely view of the river. Staff helped book the tours and transport in and out of Bukit Lawang.

Set in Tuk Tuk in the Sumatra region, Toba Boi has a terrace and mountain views. With lake views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The property offers quiet street views. The hosts Dong and Seska were so friendly and helpful which made it my stay a memorable one. There is a bar / restaurant across the road which does great food and the bar has live music on a Saturday night which is also very good. I rented a motorbike which was very handy from the accommodation which was convenient and a good price too and they also provide a good laundry service. The upstairs area at the front was good for chilling out with a nice view of the lake. I would definitely recommend and would stay again. Try the Tuak when you're there - it's the local palm wine.
