It felt homey and we were able to sleep well since the futon was very comfortable. The host was also very friendly.

The ladies who welcomed us was so incredibly sweet; they showed us around and one of them even took us to the local shrine so my kids could enjoy the ice cream I had purchased from their sister store.

The house is absolutely wonderful, it seems to come out from anime!! Personally I had it all for myself, but it's so big it's great also for families! Yukie-San, the owner, was so welcoming and went above and beyond to help me in every possible way, from the amenities, to local gifts, to tips where to eat, what to try and experience. She even helped me with the links and maps positions of so many places and was always quick at answering! I promise you'll feel at home here and won't regret staying here even if it's just for a couple of nights!

Located just 34 km from Kongoin Temple, 古民家の宿「こはる」 features accommodation in Obama with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as luggage storage space. Oda couple and her parents were very friendly and hospitable. The meals were delicious and the setting was tranquil and quaint. We were there with a lot of snow and the 92yo grandfather cleaned our car of snow, the driveway and built a fire in the stove! We also got a brief tour of the older part of the house and they showed us old b/w pictures of the wife's childhood in the house. The bathroom was clean and new and the bathwater was nice and hot! Very quiet at night, not too far from Obama town. Thank you for welcoming us into your home!

My daughter loved dinosaur dress up and everything we needed was there. The owner was so kind and friendly, gave us a lift to the nearest station every time we went snowboarding. Little kids would love this place. The accommodation was so comfortable warm, clean and felt safe, welcoming Thank you for the best hospitality. We enjoyed our stay so much that didn't want to leave ！ Highly recommend We will definitely come back again when we visit Fukui in future.

Cosy and beautiful. We loved the friendly cat, collecting the eggs from the chickens and playing in the snow. We also loved the history of the farmhouse, soaking in the traditional bath, playing board games and sharing tea with our gorgeous hosts, Iku & Yuki.
