This was my first stay at a hostel and the bar was set high, perhaps too high. Probably the cleanest hostel I've stayed at compared to the rest of the five hostels I stayed at after this one. The room I stayed was super big, so you had tons of privacy but could still meet people. But lets be honest though, if you've come to party in Prague you really have no choice, Madhouse is the place. It was super easy to meet people through the room or family dinners. Plus Kraig and his team showed us to the best bars and clubs, so you're never left wondering where the best place to go out it is. You're also definitely gonna wanna do the pub crawl, ton of fun. Lastly, Kraig's a legend, you're gonna want to get him to go out with you.

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
