Friendly and relaxed – hostels make the perfect base for nomads.

More than 1 million people last month said they'd recommend Booking.com to their family and friends.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Hotels That Guests Love in Chester
  • It was a cosy, clean room with a bathroom! And very near the station. Staffs are friendly. Great hostel! If I visit Chester again, I will stay there.

  • The hostel was nice, and the staff very helpful and friendly !

  • This is such a lovely friendly little hostel. Would recommend to all!

  • Cozy, quirky room and the NICEST STAFF EVER. One of the ladies offered to let me borrow a dress to attend a horse race, since all I had were backpacker's clothes--so very sweet. I'd stay here again for sure. Do bring earplugs, as it's a little rowdy down the road--I had no trouble sleeping but did use them. Easy walking distance (8 minutes?) from the train and you'll be able to get essentially everywhere in town on foot--the rows, the wall, the cathedral and castle, the racecourse if you want. Stay here! It's lovely.

  • This trades as an APART hotel -to me that means a kitchen of some description is included -in fact the photos show a kitchen but this only happens if you book 2 double rooms . So no food /breakfast available from the hotel and no kitchen so this place is basically a HOSTEL. Of course you couldn't charge £70 + per night if the truth was publicised
