Downtown Boutique Hostel

Zadar Old Town, Zadar

Downtown Boutique Hostel has a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Zadar. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The accommodation offers a tour desk and free WiFi throughout the property. The Hostel is situated right in the city center, yet surprisningly quiet. I did not hear any sound from the streets. The rooms are big and provide storage room for all luggage and air conditioning. The bunk beds are equipped with staris instead of the usual ladders, which is a great plus for undisturbed sleep! The hostel features a restaurant where a rich, yet cheapbreakfast is served. A discount in the restaurant is given to hostel guest. I very much enjoyed the dinner here, as the hostel/restaurant is placed in a small side street which is yet not too small, so pedestrians are not passing by ones table too close. We were served by Franjo, who did an excellent job in both serving as well as entertaining us. The food was tasty and prices were more than ok. I also had my breakfast in the morning, having a chat with Franjo which I very much enjoyed. The staff here was super friendly in general and never obtrusive. In summary, I really enjoyed my stay here and can definetly recommend this hostel!

Very clean, amazing location very close to the sea, 10 mins away from the old town by car and the airport, lovely people, with A/C. Me and my friends stayed there (3 girls) and felt really safe, we had lockers with keys. Hosts were really nice people, flexible with our requests, even offered us coffee on the first day. The kitchen was fully equipped, we were able to cook and store our food on the fridges. 100% recommended if you are looking to meet new people.

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
