My stay at Alt Life – Dharamkot (McLeodganj) was peaceful, scenic, and rejuvenating. The hostel sits in a stunning location surrounded by mountains and pine trees, offering breathtaking views right from the common area and rooms. The vibe is calm and creative — perfect for digital nomads, backpackers, or anyone looking to slow down and connect with nature. The rooms and dorms were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, while the in-house café served great food and coffee with a view. The staff was friendly, always ready to help with local recommendations or treks nearby. Evenings were magical with live music sessions and bonfires that brought travelers together. It’s a bit uphill, but the peaceful setting makes the short climb totally worth it. Overall, Alt Life Dharamkot is an ideal mix of comfort, community, and mountain serenity — a perfect escape for travelers seeking both inspiration and relaxation

The property is amazing. Great people and hosts. Clean and spacious. Nikhil, moses and Raj were super fun.

We had a fantastic stay at Eevolve Hostel! We originally booked for 1 night and ended up staying all 3 nights we were in Dharamshala. The location is perfect - a 10 minute walk up to the Main Street of Dharmkot, a 10 minute walk down to the main area of Bhagsu, and just a 25 minute walk to McLeod Ganj. You’re tucked into the forest so you feel very secluded despite being so close to everything. And everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and helpful. The team hosts hikes for a sunset view, and a fire in the common area every night where you have the opportunity to meet other people from the hostel. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer!

Ambience, crowd , staff everything is good

Friendly staff, nice views and facilities. Comfortable room, with locker and a nice bathroom. Location is up in the mountain, chill and good environment. Good food served and also nice options near by.

New renovations so everything is feeling fresh, amazing views, gets good sun on the deck during the day (its been coooold), and so cheap. Dorms are cozy but I upgraded to a valley view room and wow it's unbeatable to wake up in the morning to this.

the staff is very helpful and friendly, the view from the balcony was splendid, the food is delicious and with room service, overall excellent value. For European people, it might be a little rough on the edge but for the price it is still great value here.

It's Clean!!! It fun but chill and could be silent to, there is a lot of space, great communal areas, they have a kitchen and nice garden! It's close to the shops in bagsu area, and 15/20 min walk to dharamkot. But bagsu its a chill area and have nice cafes! Bonfire, great vibes.

Great location if you want to be close (in walking distance) to Dharamkot, Bhagsu, and McLeod Ganj. Our room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the whole Bhagsu valley - we could watch the snow peaks, eagles flying by, and even had visits from the monkeys roaming around the forest. It was quite chilly in the room at first but for a little fee we got a portable heater which made our stay much more comfy. The restaurant has really delicious food and the included breakfast was plentiful and open to choose from a wide variety on the menu. Best of all - the staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We stayed for five nights and really enjoyed our time. Thank you Greenwoods Inn team!
