Classic-style rooms all have a fan. Both private and shared bathrooms include free toiletries. I've stayed at this hostel for 3 days in female room, there were 4 single comfortable beds, there is a common kitchen with everything you need, every day host leave food for breakfast. Staff was very helpful, they gave me the map with all main marked points for sightseeing, cafe/restaurants, gelaterias and etc. The location is very good, just 5-7 minutes from the central station and Monetulngo bus station, also close to the Cathedral square.

Hostel Gallo D'oro

Located in the centre of Florence, Hostel Gallo D’oro is 700 metres from the Accademia Gallery which houses Michelangelo’s famous David statue. Free WiFi is available throughout.

Rooms at Gallo D’oro hostel are individually decorated and include parquet floors, lockers and bedside tables. All beds include a reading light, bed linen and towels. Some rooms have a balcony. It's probably not possible to find a better hostel than here. Offering such a place to stay at around 20€/p/n, including two meals a day in an expensive place like Florence, I wonder how they do?! Everything is clean, it's well located, the staff was just great and dynamic. It's really nice and the mood is good there. Offering a supper makes people stay to eat there and force them to sit together and talk. Great to meet and discuss with other people. Really, one of the best hostel I've been to.
