I couldn't be more happy to stay at Castaway. Virginia created a real safe-heaven. It is not enough to say how great the other reviews are. It is all true, the house is very well equipped, the cleanliness is on high level and the feeling of safety is unmatchable. It was my first time staying at a hostel as my safety has always been a priority and I am very glad I made this choice along with my friends. In addition just want to add how amazing it was to spot all the little details that Virginia has taken care of, the pillowcase initials, the fluffy soft towels, the great mattresses (extra points after a day of surfing) the beautiful coffee cups, all the tea boxes. And also a big thank you for allowing everyone to have their assigned spaces, each of us had own little shelf in the bathroom, a hook in the shower, a locker for our things. I can keep on writing, but it is simple a great woman created a great hostel and her son was extremely helpful as well with the check-in and check-out information. Muito muito obrigada! Hope to stay in Castaway soon again!

Well equipped with a spacious living room and full sized kitchen. The double room I stayed in had a comfortable bed and good storage for your clothes and belongings. Surfboards and wetsuits can be stored and dried under a roof outside. Riki is a great host and super helpful. I was very happy with my stay and as a solo traveler it was nice to meet new people.
