Lost Inn Lisbon Hostel

Baixa / Chiado, Lisbon

The wooden-floor rooms of the hostel feature access to shared bathroom facilities. They include beds in mixed and gender-specific dorm rooms as well as private twin and double rooms. All rooms feature views over the city. Before going to Lisbon me and my friend booked a random hostel, which happened to be Lost Inn. Never regretted it for a second. This is the best hostel I've stayed in in my life. In short: 1. The staff is extremely friendly and caring. In case you have any questions or problems, they would always be happy to help you. 2. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. In your room you would have a locker, where you can store belongings without worrying about them being stolen. 3. There is a large dining room with a kitchen and a lounge area above them with TV and PlayStation, where you could chill in the evening or when the weather is bad. 4. SOCIAL LIFE! That is the main point, why I personally liked the hostel. There is a free sangria every evening, which brings people together in the dining area below the rooms. If you travel alone -- you can find travel companions for your adventures or just interesting people to communicate with. We've had so many crazy adventures with random people we met over sangria and that made our trip to Lisbon so awesome. We've stayed in hostel for 10 days and every evening, there were people downstairs having lively conversations, there is zero probability that one'd feel lonely in this hostel. Would definitely recommend anyone staying here! And would most likely stay here myself during my future visits to Lisbon.

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
