Urban Garden Porto Central Hostel

Porto City Centre , Porto

Urban Garden Porto Central Hostel is located in the Santo Ildefonso district, in Porto, 300 metres from City Market Bolhao and 500 metres from Oporto Coliseum. The property features a 200 m2 garden and also has traditional 19th century stone walls I really liked the hostel, first because the staff was very well organized and put a lot of effort to keep it clean for all the guests. It's exactly as in the pictures, it's perfect if you are looking for quiet and privacy. For me it was also perfect for working with my laptop and the outside garden with the bar, is definitely a plus. The location is good, 20 minutes from the river and nearby there are very cheap bars and there is the best cheapest restaurant that I have been to in Europe "taberna do doutor".

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
