Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Hotels That Guests Love in Washington, DC
  • I really enjoyed my time at the High Road Hostel! The hostel is very clean and all the furniture and equipment are in a great state. The staff really cares about their guests having a great time and feeling welcome and comfortable! Overall the entire place was very social and welcoming. The hostel has a kitchen with all the equipment you'll need for your regular cooking and there's a small grocery store up the street in case you need to buy some ingredients. I can't but recommend this hostel!

  • This hostel is excellent! The staff are so welcoming and helping and organized! Guests are allowed to cook in the kitchen. I left a backpack and they arranged a shipping in a very efficient, trustworthy way. I recommend without any reserve.

  • Honestly, this youth hostel is GREAT! The staff was SUPER FRIENDLY, when I asked for recommendation on what to do and see, they put me on a FREE tour an hour later :) it is a great hostel if you're on a student budget! perfect location, metros are nearby, bathroom were clean, i'd recommend this!

  • Very decent breakfast, friendly staff, great kitchen and common room facilities. Really strong amenity - suitable for families and older travellers as well as young backpackers. Not a 'party' hostel though there are plenty of chances to gather with like minded travellers.

  • It's a Youth Hostel. 4 or 6 bunk beds to a room , co ed 1 person with sleep apnea, can detract from a Positive Experience
