DC International Hostel 1

Shaw, Washington, D.C.

DC International Hostel 1 is located in Mount Vernon Square, 1 km from DC convention centre and from Old Dominion Brew House. Free WiFi access is available.

Rooms here will provide you with air conditioning and cable TV. Extras include a desk and linen. They have the best team ever!!! I am so grateful to them. I have tried other hostels in DC that look fancy but have no way of offering the same excellent service, simplicity, uncomplicatedness and warmth that DC 1 has. If you are a simple person and wanna feel welcome, please, go to DC 1. I have tried one by tge Du Pont circle but I regret so much. There's no other hostel I'd rather stay in: DC 1 wins, from my perspective.

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
