This is by far one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at and without a doubt the best hostel in DR. Everything is new and works well. The open space is beautiful and the views are amazing. It is a social place and I met so many nice people there who became friends during the week and a half I ended up staying there. Couldn't recommend more!

Lovely stay with Sue who seemed to know everybody and was a perfect host. Garden was from paradise with loads of birds, butterflies and toads (at night). We were lucky as it was not busy when we were there so quiet outdoor kitchen and beautifully kept shared bathroom. You must try Teresa’s jerk pork a few yards down the road - she was great fun whenever we visited her - she might be the heart of Brighton Beach! We stayed in February 2025.

I had an excellent, relaxing 2 week stay at the Germaican over the holidays. Marion and Anna were fantastic and very welcoming. It was great getting to know them. I hope our paths cross again. The room was great, the facilities were great, breakfast was awesome, and the view from the front porch is spectacular! Thank you!!
