Surrounded by a large garden, Youthhostel Lugano features an outdoor pool with deckchairs and sunshades, as well as children’s playground and volleyball, badminton and table tennis facilities. Loved it! Very nice staff, location and overall feel. Was only going to do 1 night but ended up adding on another as I liked it so much. Staff were very accommodating for that and everything else. Highly recommend for a stay in the Ticino area. Great value for money

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. Despite being a hostel near the train station, it was very nice and quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful. They will provide lockers, vending machines, coffee machine and plenty of space in the fridge as well as facilities to make your own food. And the location is amazing only 5min from train station.
