We came in tired after long journey and got offered free drinks. What a nice welcome! That was also not the only surprise. Although we booked a double room for one night, we unexpectedly got an upgrade to a very spacious studio. It was very kind of the owner to offer it to us. Even though the hostel is located above the pub and there was a concert on the street, the windows are pretty good and we spent a very good night. The studio was also clean and well-equipped. The hostel is located very close to a train station and almost in the middle of the old part of Schaffhausen.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and the cozy smoking bar downstairs made for a great place to relax. The hotel's no-smoking policy was well-enforced, ensuring fresh, clean rooms with no trace of smoke. The beds were comfortable, and the room had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, a great experience—would definitely recommend!
