The facility clean and provided all needs. There are a few plasent places to sit within and near the hostel. Location perfect.

Most modern hostel i have been to. Everything works smoothly, comfortable beds, great breakfast based on buffet (that is the best thing from my side). They said i have a pool included, but didn't have time - probably it is great. The lobby is great, clean showers and toilets. There is locked safe for your belongings.

The level of service was outstanding. The room was clean and very warm, and it was extremely convenient to have a dedicated place for storing ski equipment. The breakfasts and dinners were exceptional. Special thanks to all the staff — everyone was very polite, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you very much; we will definitely be back next year.

Located in a quiet, but central area in Grindelwald, 350 metres from the Firstbahn and Männlichenbahn Cable Cars, Lehmann's Herberge Hostel offers accommodation in a traditional Swiss chalet, with... Before check-in, I was a bit nervous because I had read some reviews suggesting the host could be intimidating. However, I found the host to be friendly and even humorous when explaining some things to take note of. It just goes to show that if you show respect and consideration, others will often respond in kind. Make sure to fill out the form requested by the host, which can be found in the email or inbox of the booking website. One day, I lost my room key and went to the main area hoping to find it. The hosts told me I had accidentally left it on the table after breakfast and they had kept it for me. Instead of scolding me, they simply explained what had happened, which I really appreciated. The room was cosy, the bed comfortable, and the blanket thick enough to keep me warm. Breakfast was great too! I especially loved the homemade yoghurt and fruit salad. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to interact much with the hosts during breakfast since I left early for Männlichen and First on two of the days. You can politely ask the hosts if you can have breakfast earlier, and they might even prepare packed food for you! On my last day, I was using my phone to check where to go and arrange transportation to Milan. Until I finished and left, I only noticed the banner at the door requesting no phone use in the dining area, as I think the hosts prefer human interaction and a break from devices. I regret not noticing this sooner, and I hope to return next time to interact more with the hosts! Lastly, the location is fantastic! When I opened the window, I was greeted with beautiful views. Thank you again for making my trip so memorable!

Aktivhostel HängeMatt features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Matt. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Everything. All the reviews about this accomodation are true. To provide a more unique piece of comment, when I arrived late, tired and outside of incheck hours, I found the bedsheets presented neatly inside-out. In case we are not familiair with how to make up a bed the easiest way, take the sheets inside-out and shake like crazy. I was tired and I was positively speechless (if I was talking). Never made a bed up so easily in my life, for real. On a more personal experience, Matt really gave me the “Swiss” feeling that other, more touristy places, failed me to provide. I felt comfortable and like at home in the area, but then in Switzerland. I will definitely come back here, to climb the mountain across Matt. I did not have the time for it sadly. Also, ja, Florian, cool dude. The reviews about the host does him right. (Also you get free public transport btw, in the Kanton)

It’s like a fairy tail, all the snow around and mountains . The hotel is nice, food in the restaurant was tasty, the stuff was very thoughtful and took amazing care of special food requests

Boasting a bar and views of mountain, Schutzenbach Backpackers For Adults 18-34 years only is situated in Lauterbrunnen, 16 km from Grindelwald Terminal. Bed was comfy, location was AMAZING. Waking up in this valley was incredible. Bathrooms were clean and communal spaces were easy to use and kept clean. Easy walk to the restaurants and shops, the train, or through the valley to see the waterfalls.
