This B&B is superb and very value for money. Great view of the mountains. The area is also quiet and allows for an uninterrupted sleep at night. With its prime location near the Grindelwald train station, it is a great base to explore the area and even Lauterbrunnen or Interlaken. The hosts are friendly and the place is kept very clean including the toilet. The lady host is a very hardworking lady; I love the breakfast she prepares. The lady host also gave me recommendation on hiking trails and shared with me brochures which are helpful for my itinerary planning. Before the date of my stay, I also received an email prompt for pre-registration which I thought was very thoughtful as I could then receive a guest card which provides some perks like free transportation around the area.

Aktivhostel HängeMatt features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Matt. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Everything. All the reviews about this accomodation are true. To provide a more unique piece of comment, when I arrived late, tired and outside of incheck hours, I found the bedsheets presented neatly inside-out. In case we are not familiair with how to make up a bed the easiest way, take the sheets inside-out and shake like crazy. I was tired and I was positively speechless (if I was talking). Never made a bed up so easily in my life, for real. On a more personal experience, Matt really gave me the “Swiss” feeling that other, more touristy places, failed me to provide. I felt comfortable and like at home in the area, but then in Switzerland. I will definitely come back here, to climb the mountain across Matt. I did not have the time for it sadly. Also, ja, Florian, cool dude. The reviews about the host does him right. (Also you get free public transport btw, in the Kanton)
