The whole facility is exceptional. It's modern, clean, and a relaxing environment. The kitchen has lots of great food options including a very affordable three course dinner. I was accommodated with gluten free pasta for the dinner, and gluten free buns for breakfast, both of which I hugely appreciated! The pool was a really nice perk, it was great to have a chance to practice my swimming while traveling.

Our meals were delicious and the chef took Into account for 2 of our children’s food allergies. The location and views were amazing. Our children (ages 4,9 and 11) all loved the playgrounds and treasure hunt hike up the mountain. This was a very family friendly lodge and we hope to visit again! Everyone who works here is friendly and compassionate.

Located in a quiet, but central area in Grindelwald, 350 metres from the Firstbahn and Männlichenbahn Cable Cars, Lehmann's Herberge Hostel offers accommodation in a traditional Swiss chalet, with... I booked a single room here at a price I was really happy with — and it turned out to be such a lovely stay! When I arrived, the owner had even placed a little Swiss candy on the towel, which was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. The room itself was small but cozy, with everything I needed: a space to hang my clothes and a large drawer that could store so many things — I loved it! It helped me keep everything tidy and easy to access during my stay. The shared bathroom was always clean and had a pleasant wooden scent. It was rarely crowded, so I could use it comfortably at any time. The fridge is on the ground floor and, if I remember correctly, available between 15:30 and 21:30. I didn’t notice that at first and tried to use it in the morning — but the owner was super kind and immediately opened the door for me without hesitation. Breakfast was also delicious and surprisingly varied. My favorite part is the little colorful peppers and cucumbers — I had never tasted anything like them before, and they were absolutely amazing! I only tried them on my last day, and honestly, I wish I had sooner. Every day I spent here was warm and happy. I really recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and homely stay. Oh, and fun fact: I even ran into the lady owner while hiking in Männlichen — lovely coincidence!

Aktivhostel HängeMatt features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Matt. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Everything. All the reviews about this accomodation are true. To provide a more unique piece of comment, when I arrived late, tired and outside of incheck hours, I found the bedsheets presented neatly inside-out. In case we are not familiair with how to make up a bed the easiest way, take the sheets inside-out and shake like crazy. I was tired and I was positively speechless (if I was talking). Never made a bed up so easily in my life, for real. On a more personal experience, Matt really gave me the “Swiss” feeling that other, more touristy places, failed me to provide. I felt comfortable and like at home in the area, but then in Switzerland. I will definitely come back here, to climb the mountain across Matt. I did not have the time for it sadly. Also, ja, Florian, cool dude. The reviews about the host does him right. (Also you get free public transport btw, in the Kanton)

Boasting a bar and views of mountain, Schutzenbach Backpackers For Adults 18-34 years only is situated in Lauterbrunnen, 16 km from Grindelwald Terminal. I spend 3 nights in the Hostel and had amazings and completely different evenings each day, i got one bed in the shared room and it was full booked but everyone was respectful and tried their best to be quiet in the early morning and past midnight as well! The vibes are immaculate, all the staff is super kind and helpful. The hole idea of the hostel is to have a break, to share a good time and to know people while you are adventuring, exploring, learning. I think that’s why most of us left so happy and in peace at the same time. The beds are comfortable, they’ll provide a towel and a locker and there’re enough plugs for everyone. The kitchen has microwaves, water heater and two fridges to store your food and the supermarket is close, like a 10 min walk or two stops if you use the bus, which is right next to the reception. I’m so glad i choose this Hostel and hope i’ll come back
