The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. Location is excellent - near station. Beautiful old villa.

This room is very basic with shower and toilet on the floor and can’t be compared to the room quality in the old building. My room also had a lot of moscitos unfortunately. However, the restaurant is very good with its beautiful terrace. To enjoy this location, I highly recommend a room in the old building.

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. Clean room, good breakfast options and very co-operative staff.

Ostello Pro Osco terletak di Faido, 47km dari Source of the Rhine River - Lake Thoma dan 48km dari Castelgrande Castle. Tempat penginapan ini adalah bebas rokok dan terletak 40km dari Devils Bridge. The simplicity of check in using codes to enter the house and room. The rooms are newly renovated (Aug 2025) with an excellent bed and shower/bathroom. Loved my stay. Highlight was having supper in the villages Restaurant Osteria Salzi (village square). Would recommend both to anyone hiking through on the Strada Alta and the Trans Swiss Route (Nr 2).
