The staff was great! Helping with any needs, had suggestions where to rent a bike cheap and the hostel is close to the city centre. Hostal Amunategui- Sucursal Aguirre is set in La Serena, within 1 km of Justice Court and Cathedral and 1.5 km of La Portada Stadium. The place is walkable to the bus stop, and 10 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes to the light house. The place is extremely clean, each of our rooms had their own bathrooms, and the owner is very lovely, friendly person. Also the common area is very clean, spacious and very well equipped.

Situated in La Serena, within 2 km of El Faro Beach and 600 metres of President Gabriel González Videla Regional History Museum, Hostal Luna del Mar 840-B features accommodation with a terrace and... The family who work here are great. They were very helpful, had bag storage, clothes washing facilities and we're very kind to provide us with breakfast items the evening before, as we were leaving very early on a tour the next day. The room and bathroom was clean and the outdoor seating area is a nice place to sit and relax. The place is close to the bus stations and the centre of town.

Set in Pisco Elqui, Cabaña hostal Ema has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. The hostel offers an outdoor swimming pool and a shared kitchen. A wonderful place with a lovely outdoor kitchen, lots of trees and greenery around, and it felt very secluded. A very peaceful, respectful place. We will miss it!

El Arbol Eco Lodge is located in a green and exuberant oasis , full of palm trees and a variety of other trees and flowers, where lots of birds have a peaceful and undisturbed place to live. Beautiful property, comfortable and quiet room, helpful and friendly staff, cute dogs.

It's 500m to the Japanese Garden (lots of ducks and swans) and the pedestrian bridge (Pasarela), which connects to the big shopping center and has buses to everywhere in the city, the airport, Coquimbo and Pisco Elqui. TIPS: The upstairs bath is the nicest. Consider staying in Vicuña for a night or two -- very charming, easy access to Pisco, and heaps of deep space observatories with telescopes (Pangue is the best).
